SWAPPERS JOURNAL - TARA

I had a lot of fun at my SWAP in Whistler BC. It was very challenging but that’s what I liked. The coolest part of my SWAP was the mountain biking. The thrill of being on the bike was amazing. I was the most scared while doing the skiing. It was a totally new experience for me. I was extremely scared that I would fall and seriously hurt myself. I had even asked my mom to pack lots of bandages! I was most proud of myself when I did the “grab” while skiing. It was really exciting. I completed my challenge! What I will remember the most about my SWAP is when I got all dressed in the “gear” for my mountain biking ride. I felt so “manly” to be wearing all the stuff. They brought me up on the trail and my heart started to race. When I first got on the bike to complete my challenge with the obstacles, I got really scared. But once I started to feel more comfortable on the bike and we went down the trail, that’s when the excitement really started and I will always remember that sweet feeling. I’d like to say Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be on TV and experience all those fun challenges. Everyone has been so nice and took the time to explain what I had to do. Thanks!!

SWAPPERS JOURNAL - AUSTIN

My swap experience was so much fun! I tried numerous new things including French food, dancing, singing and acting. The most interesting thing to happen to me during my swap was performing a scene from Romeo and Juliet. I had to perform it in front of a large crowd of people that were actors for a living. This made me nervous, but in the end, it all worked out and I ended up having a great time.

I was most proud of myself when I was on the plane ride back to BC and my mum told me that she was very proud of me for doing the show. That really meant a lot.
