She also eats Irish Champ, a special potato dish with her dad Noel and speaks a little Gaelic. Megan, 14, is a volunteer at her uncle Darren’s Reptile Rainforest, a facility that breeds and cares for all kinds of reptiles in Kemptville ON. She takes care of a huge variety of animals and performs in educational shows at local schools.

The Swap: Watch as Megan learns to dance with Kayla’s class, and dons the traditional dress, hair and makeup and eats a special treat! That evening, she travels to a hotel for the next day’s big competition in Scarborough. Meanwhile, Kayla will be living at Megan’s home and helping at Reptile Rainforest. She will be cleaning cages, feeding snakes, catching frogs and crickets. Watch her as she tries chocolate covered crickets for the first time with Megan’s brothers! The next day she will travel to a local school to present an educational show to local children, and Darren presents her with a special surprise – her own gecko!

SWAPPER JOURNAL: KAYLA

"My swap experience first started off well. It was sickening to put in some crickets and actually touch them, but as I got used to it, I really enjoyed every part of my swap. The coolest thing that happened during my swap was how neat those reptiles felt, especially Jessica the Blue Tongued Skink, now that was cool! I also can’t forget my new pet Sunny, the baby Gecko!
The most frightening thing that happened to me during my swap was feeding that evil scorpion, it looked like it was about to kill me or sting me, I can tell you this much, I was pretty happy when I was done.
Overall, being on tv for the first time was awesome! I loved it, and when I become a movie star, I will love it more. It definitely isn’t my last. My message to the crew of Swap TV is that you guys (and girls) were really great, thank you for buying my food, giving me shelter, and last but not least, making me start my future job as a movie star. P.S. don’t forget to mention me on upcoming shows or movies."

SWAPPER JOURNAL: MEGAN

My swap experience was very cool. I had loads of fun learning how to Irish
dance and learning about the Irish cuisine. I was most scared during my
swap when I had to get up in front of all those people and dance because I’m so used to speaking to peope about reptiles. I was most proud of myself
after I had completed the challenge of dancing in front of like 600 people I
did not know without falling flat on my face. I absolutely loved being on
tv. It was an amazing experience and one I would love to have happen again!
