Katie is a 12 year old who has grown up around her family's wildlife rescue business -- it operates out of her home near Windsor, ON. She's been around wild animals her entire life and looks forward to springtime, when the centre is bustling with newborns of various species that she helps care for. Shelby (11) has been on the Leamington AcroRopers competitive rope skipping team for 5 years. She loves the challenges and the teamwork involved -- the team's hard work has allowed them to travel to competitions and showcases all over Canada and the U.S.

The Swap: Watch as Katie enters the world of competitive rope skipping -- a far cry from schoolyard jumping. She experiences what it's like to have a team counting on your for your speed, synchronization and precision. How will she do when she is thrust into the spotlight to perform a routine? Meanwihile, Shelby enters the world of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. From rescues, to daily care of many dozens of creatures, to releases back into the wild, Shelby will get a true taste of veterinary career would entail. How will she handle the unpredictable challenges created by animals in need?

Rehabilitation Center for wild and injured animals. The coolest thing that
happened during my swap was realizing my dream to become a veterinarian, is what I really want to do, and meeting a great new friend......Katie.
